I would not pay $500 for makeup and hair. There are so many talented people who do it for much cheaper.

oops. i take that back. she charges 300 not 500. for hair, make up, and dupatta setting. 250 if you do it at her place; 300 if she comes to you.

yea thats why im getting it done by my bhabbi on the wedding for free lol. shes reallllly good at make up mA and she uses MAC as well.
have yet to decide what to do for valima

Wow, some people are crazy.

My sistes wedding was this weekend, and once my mom told me that the only people who RSVP'd were family, hijab became unecessary. We went to a salon and got myhair done BEAUTIFULLY for $50, and then we went to the mall for make-up (at the macy's counter) and I got my make-up done sooooo nice for the small price of a lipstick and lip liner. That makes it less than $100 for hair and make-up. The stylist was really amazing, becuase about a week ago I had it cut, and the lady butchered my hair. I'm not kidding when I talk about butchering it. I look like a short female Art Garfunkel in the morning

and it doesn't improve much even if I put tons of product in my hair.

Hi Ladies

Caramel- thanks for the deal-but i dont see any mascaras. i need 'em so bad! khair..logically speaking the product will cost me so much if i were to buy and have it shipped and tax etc..so i'll stop being lazy and i'll go to local macs and get it..

so last night i had my crazyyyyyyyyyyyy first sleeping pill at this age..

It was not my intial plan...i cancelling all my plans..gym/studying/halaqa..and came home just to sleep few more hours than usual. then I was in my bed for 2 hours tosing around couldnt go to sleep+ tried other known remedies we learned in psy class...so i finaly gave ini popped one pill, ...subhaAllah i was in bed until 9 am it was the best thing..

Does anyone know any special du'aa or verses to recite during pregnancy? ARE there any in particular which are recommended? I'm trying to read and listen to more Qur'an in general but was wondering if there were any particular things I could do in terms of worship and dhikr.
