usually when my hair gets this long, it annoys the hell out of me... but this time, i actually think it looks kinda hot?

i do need to get my bangs trimmed though. what sucks is that i've been growing it out to donate it so i've been trying to avoid things like excessive layers...but now i really want that type of cut in the front

I have very sensitive skin and am prone to cystic pimples on my chin/jaw area (that area is hormonal I've heard). I used to get breakouts all over and had pink and brown spots all over my face from the dried up pimples....right before my wedding i had huge painful red cystic bumps all over my face, that was the last straw. I decided to start going for monthly facials. My facialist recommended the gentle moisturizing/purifying seaweed facial. I did that for 5 months and then alternated microderm and a facial for 3 more months to reduce the spotting.. it was a lot of money but it was worth it. Even though I still get breakouts, spots and cystic pimples, it's much more manageable alhamdulillah and the mask/scrub/oil regimen I posted has been very good for maintaining the results of the professional facials.

I disagree with how some of you are recommending chemical-filled gels, pills and bcps right off the bat. You don't need to go to the dermatologist and pay tons of money for fancy gels and pills (of course some people do really need it but you only know that after trying many many things that don't work ) Drinking lots of fluids, drastically reducing sugar intake and eating healthier also helped me. I've found sugar makes my forehead break out like crazy. Try some gentler things on your face (NOT Proactiv), sometimes a simple regimen will fix it more easily than putting all those foreign chemicals into your body and onto your skin.

, thanks mi amors! I've taken everyone's input and plan to stick with an at home regimen for the next couple months...just to give these products a real chance. I heard it's not good to take bcp when your anemic anyways so I guess I have to rule those out. (if you KNOW otherwise plese let me know).

I used the VIT E oil last night and my complexion looks better. I think it depends on the individual. Thanks jelly.

& thanks everyone else for your recommendations. Good luck to us all.

Ya, unfortunately, I'm one of those people who tried everything (like really, everything)

I already eat healthy... so I ate healthier and that didn't help. My body is weird

Why is it worse to take if you're anemic? It would seem that since birth control pills make your periods lighter, it's better to take it if your anemic. You lose less blood that way. Some birth controls come with iron in them (the ones that end in "fe" but they might not help acne). Anyways, I've always been borderline anemic and the pills never harmed me.

Can you find a person who gives good facials for a decent price in your area? If not then do it at home for a few weeks and give it time. I use: Queen Helene Mint Julep mask (Sally Beauty Supply), St. Ives apricot scrub and Vitamin E oil (Walgreens). This is best done before going to sleep at night. The next morning I wake up and my face looks smoother. After a week it starts to make a tiny difference and if I keep doing it I really see results alhamdulillah.
  • Take a hot shower to open up your pores.
  • Immediately after getting out put on the mask which has a nice minty tingly feeling . Let it dry completely.
  • Take a small towel and wet it with warm water, scrub the mask off gently using circular motions. Keep rewetting different parts of the towel with warm water when one patch gets too covered in mask.
  • Next rinse once with warm water to remove residue
  • Wash with the apricot scrub and wash that off with cool water to help close the pores up.
  • Pat dry and massage in a nice amount of Vitamin E oil

I forced my husband to let me do this facial on him and his skin looked a hundred times better afterwards mA

I've a question or two about your regimen

1.. Why is there a need to use apricot scrub after the mask?

2.. Could you shower and use the mask during day and at night before going to sleep, use the scrub and vit e?

What hair product do you guys use to make pretty waves in your hair? I dont wanna use a curling iron or hot rollers.
I read Aussie Sprunch Non Aerosol Spray is good, anyone else use this?
