Re: Female Personal Hygiene
today i went to the piercing parlor and got a little baggie of sea salt that im going to mix with water to use as a healing paste for a cartilage piercing i have.
i almost took it out on the subway to examine it, until i realized what it would have looked like to everyone else.
 any guesses?
the funny thing is, i was wearing a kaffiyeh. so the first thing that ran through my head to stop me from taking it out was not "omg it looks like cocaine", but actually "oh snap, it looks like it could be anthrax or something!" i think that says a lot about being muslim in this country

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
i'm having trouble getting back to a normal-er sleep pattern. i think i might have to say a big fat NO if/when they ask me to work any more 3rd shifts after the one next month. i don't think i can take it anymore especially since i'll be working days in addition to 2nd shift. that's a bit much variety (and none of the healthy kind) to throw on my poor sleep-challenged body.
in other news, umm... well, i dunno... it's not the same and i know it's not supposed to be. every day is different and i have to remind myself that it's a new day, new sun in my face, new wind in my hair, new bunnies in the grass!!!
yet the days change and we remain the same... stagnant. like our pasts... pulling us like quicksand... oh, how nice it'd be to let go. that's where reason comes in. and the need to not be so selfish. to look around and see more. to feel more. to be more. than ourselves, inshaAllah.
there is so much love in this world and around us, mashaAllah.
sometimes i forget and sometimes there are things that make me forget.
love. love. love.
there. i won't forget it now.
love!

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
Do any of you ladies have any experience with using natural deodorants? Good and bad.

My sister was practically raised on the stone. My mom started her when she was like 8 or something and now she only uses natural stuff. I need my aluminum though, or else um, yeah, just give me aluminum and all it comes with in deoderant.
