Why lower your standards?
Will that make you happy?

Why not?
It'd make me more happy than being married to a guy I don't even like.

Well, I don't have a set criteria anyway.
I think it's more about personality and chemistry.

So if that's there, then sure. Go ahead and marry him.
But if you have certain criteria, then why lower them?

He is not at that scale, "he is likeable" he meets almost 80% of my set criteria, he seem to be lacking some of the qualities which I would like to see in my dh. But he become with other bonus featurers such as expert in sky diving, water rafting, and he is a pilot.+ of course great muslim community involvement..some minor issues though..i dont knw..hmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm, one thing for sure, he isnot "wow, i wanna marry u right away material, a little lower than my standards"

Ahhhh, I dunno, yaar. I'd feel weird about marrying somebody I didn't really and truly wanna spend the rest of my life with. But what do I know? I'm not married or engaged or anything.

Istikhara, InshaAllah.

Pilots are hot. One of my cousins is one too. Should I marry him?

if u dont stand up for something than you'll fall for anything..dilemma, i have these criteria set up, but so far...not all potential meet the major criterias..then it makes me think i shud go for anythign..because either way in the end, i wont be completely satisfied with any born humanbeing.. and interestingly enough, i had set this criteria when i met some 'wonderful individuals' as i got to know them mre and more...i learned they were just carrying superficial glitter on themselves, wth time it washed away..they were once again part of the normal crowd..

anyhoo, life sucks al hamdoulilah. we all sucks, noone is perfect, why shud i look for perfectionists when there are none

No, of course nobody is perfect.
I honestly believe you can be happy with any number of people.

You'll have to share your criteria for us to be able to tell you whether to let them go or not.
Are they unreasonable things?

If I really liked him I'd lower my standards, but if I felt indifferent toward him I don't think I'd accept

If I lower my standards then there will be too many to choose from..now this would create more confusion..why isnt life as easy as simple arithmetic? 1+1
