Yeah, so that's what I asked... how come masturbation doesn't clear up your skin then? And non-Muslims have sex too, so why doesn't that work?

That would explain why I've been so stressed recently.

There aren't any real tourist destinations for me to see, especially not with the security situation, if I want to go out, people will try and feel me up even though I'll be wearing an abaya and niqab. I won't be able to eat anything, and anything I do eat will make me deathly ill. There isn't time to do shopping anyway, so I should be prepared just to stay in their family home the whole trip. Really the only reason he's taking me is becuase his dad requested that I come, and i shouldn't ever think of going again becuase Pakistan, especially where he's from, is only one small step up from Afghanistan, and is the worst place in the world.
Okay, I exagerated slightly, but it gives you an idea of the "preparation" they are trying to give me.

Your husband is probably preparing you for the worst, or is emotionally attached. A female friend of mine spent a week in Pakistan Gilgit and the Northern Areas, after I recommended them. She was English, slim and pretty and she didn't wear a hijab or burka. She was treated fine.
People who consider it "dangerous" are the type who only go for commercial package holidays to the same boring places and drink decaffeinated coffee.
Pakistan is probably the the most interesting country in the world to visit, if you want to experience a new culture/people. And there are lots of great places to visit.

He is. Yesterday he was going on and on about all the great food we're going to eat while we're there.
Wonder how it will be now that the country is in a state of emergency. From my perspective that might actually make my trip safer... unless the airline cancels our tickets or something.

Ladies, how do you tell your parents you've found someone?

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
update: --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
i went to the hospital last night, they kept me there for about 5 hours doing tests and rehydrating. they couldn't find anything wrong. also i needed 3 bags of iv before i started to even remotely feel the need to use the bathroom. they sent me home but i still have a pretty high fever, 101-102. I'm on tylenol 1000 mg every four hours but it's not breaking the fever yet. keep those duas coming.
alhumdulillah the nausea is gone so I can have some light food.
