I'm lonely. I've been pretty well house bound for the last few weeks, and only one lady called me I e-mailed another lady and invited her to my house, she hasn't called me yet. I'll try another sister today. Even my neighbor hasn't stopped by to see me. Are people really that busy, or do I have the plague?

Anyone have any ideas about how I can meet people, make friends, or otherwise lure people to my lair for tea?

So the benzyl peroxide gel...I was gonna follow this advice but I'm just gonna quit.

I used it three times:
Day 1: Felt a bit itchy, after washing it off, I scratched like crazy, went all swollen
Day 2: Used at night only (less hours of having it on my face), scratched my face at night but less. Slightly swollen. All my marks looked darker and more visible, skin felt tightened, as if some drying out happening.
Day 3: Used at night only, next day face even dryer. And STILL developing new spots?!

SO dry it felt sore, and like I couldnt move my face. I was applying moisturiser all day, both Olay and Aqueous cream and STILL felt dried out. My skin was literally FLAKY. I Didn't use any last night, skin is still tight and dry, have covered myself in vaseline twice already. And My chin looks all wrinkly and granny like, I look dark and burnt .

I hate hate HATE the Drs SO much argh!
The ones at my surgery are always so keen to 1) get rid of you 2) have a go at you 3) not prescribe anything/re-prescrible stuff that you know doesnt work

She didnt even look at my skin. I think they just prescribe the common meds for whatev the common cause of acne might be. But since the cause of acne can vary a lot, I think she should have refferred me to the dermatologist after one year of trying different medicines. eg. I think the gel she gave was for acne caused by oily skin...but she didnt even ask me if I had oily skin etc. But cuz I've tried facewashes for oily skin which have eccessively dried out my skin and I've still gotten spots, I know that thats probably not my main spot causing problem most of the time. But yea I didnt even know we had a dermatologist! But finally alhamdulillah she is going to refer me. (After EIGHT years!).

i imagine they grow back (otherwise, with all the eyelashes we lose on a regular basis, we'd have none left at all)
but how short did you clip them

I kinda went thru the same thing when I tried proactiv couple of weeks ago.
BP (from proactiv) was crap for my skin, It made my skin super dry and my skin started peeling. ouchhhh it was soo painful and it also made my acne marks much more visible by making them darker.
And when I say super dry, it was so bad that no amount of lotion/moisturizer could help it. When I touched my skin, it felt rough. yuck

so now I have ditched BP and much happier.

i don't appreciate being called stupid you know... MOMMMMMMY. jk'g

Afra: I thought they were quite short..i hate putting on mascara. ive tried diff brands. but all of them make my lashes look so unnatural.

cucumber: don't pressure yourself into anything let alone cooking. you'll eventually find a need to cook. you'll catch up. at the age of 17, i didn't know how to boil eggs. now, im almost a pro. (mashaAllah ) that's b/c my interest and need grew to make my own fav receipes..references upon request..but i suck at baking though.

the trick (at least for me) is only to swipe the mascara once (or at MOST, twice) along your eyelashes. then they look naturally fuller and darker, but without excess amounts of goop on them. my lashes are pretty long/thick anyway (mA ), so it might not work for everyone
but i don't understand how people can pile on a lot of mascara. having six really thick eyelashes on each eye is NOT attractive.

yeh thats disgusting..it must be avon.. i used to wear mascara almost every week back in the HS and i think i aws too lazy to take it off with the makeup remover..it could be the cause of my short lashes now, now they keep shedding and rarely grow back..

that could be a possible explanation for my lashes, i don't know what can i blame my less fuller eyebrows with? genetics? *cough* ive inherited my dad's gene and the skin color..he has the same problem.. i invested in the 'eyebrow brush' it didn't work for me..and the thought of eyebrow pencil seems too tacky for now..

I wanted to go shopping sometime this weekend, since there's nice sales going around b/c of labor day..but everyone has other plans it's a long drive out to the outlets, and i don't really think it would be wise to drive with a raging toddler in tow.. gah.
