Another thing I use which is actually really really good(and you'd never guess it) is this conche nacar stuff--you can even find it at walmart. Its REALLY good, and very inexpensive. The results are immediate and very extreme.
another skincare tip: grind rice in a spice grinder and use it to exfoliate. ground rice is good for your skin. I grind an entire jar all at once and then use it a few times a week. It lasts a long time

What's conche nacar and how do you use it?

Ingredients at a Glance
Concha de Nacar is also known as Mother of Pearl Cream, and it has historically been promoted as a “beauty secret” by many developers, who purport that was used thousands of years ago, as a way to keep skin healthy, young and iridescent. In China, there is some indication that it was used to alleviate acne scaring. For this reason, it is often promoted as a way to “brighten” and rejuvenate skin.
Ingredients in Focus
Originally the formula for Concha Nacar, or Mother of Pearl Cream, consisted of Crushed Sea Shells, which are rich in Nacre, Concholin, Aragonite and Silicates, as well as other nutrients. Sometimes these products are also enriched with Vitamin C to add antioxidant support. Concholin is used to rub away dead layers of skin, exfoliate the skin and clean pores. It is suggested to be able to help alleviate acne, but there is no research to support this claim. Nacre is used to help whiten and brighten, as well as to alleviate age spots and other blemishes, but here too no research is available to back up this claim. In fact, Nacre is more often used in making decorations, clothes and accessories than it is used in anti-aging formulas.

you rub it onto your skin and(depending on the brand) leave it on like a mask for anywhere from 30-90 minutes. Then you wash it off. The minute you wash it off you notice your skin looks 100 times better. no lie
*it says there is nothing support the claims, but after using it for a few years, all claims are supported(by my experience. of course haha)

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
y'all take good care of your skin.. i've neglected my skin for a while now. i used to be so big on facials, chanel & lancome skincare products. despite the neglect, my skin has still been good to me. i need to restart my skincare regimen.. i just need to drag myself to a sephora. and maybe walmart for some of that cream (i've never heard of it before).

i edited my post haha.
but also, I used upton. Did you use fresh turmeric? no guarantees on that. I know upton is turmeric, but I dont know what else is mixed in. It went away after I washed my face a few times and rubbed some lotion on

Dont they put that stuff on dulhans before the big day?
Ew, imagine having yellow alien-like legs and on top of that smelling like a salan.
I'd rather not 'glow'

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
My poor mama slipped on the wet stairs at work this afternoon and was taken to the ER, thank God she was fine. I drove her home after lunch and then I dyed her hair for her...mashallah she looks hot I went out to lunch with my grandma and mama after the ER, then had dinner with my cousin AND got all my errands done today. It was awesome alhamdulillah
I'm a little excited, a little nervous and scared at the same time about going back to school this semester. A lot of changes going on and I'm gonna have a crazy schedule this semester....plus Peace Corps in Sept 09 inshallah and I want to attend Zaytuna in between graduation and Peace Corps but that might be taking too much onto my plate in such a short time ..
Well anyway.. Ramadan is cooommiiiiing!!!
