On the days other than migraine days, I'd just have this dull pain in my head that never goes away. One day I forgot to take the pill and so I doubled the next day and I dont even know what happened to me. I kept sobbing uncontrollably. When my mom came home and saw me she was like It's not until later that I discovered it may be because of the pills, so I started researching online and YAZ is like..famous for making girls go nuts. A lot of people have ended up in therapy after taking it. I have 3 friends that took YAZ and all 3 stopped taking it for the same reason as I did: it messes with your brain.
You should never take combination birth control pills if you have migraine with aura. It significantly increases the risk of stroke. I didn't know this until I'd already spent some months suffering through increased migraines.

Thank you guys for your input on the bcps, I'm gonna talk to my dr now iA.

Serendipity: Good luck with the guy inshallah, that's exciting that you found someone that awesome . As for $70,000...just like others said too, both my parents put together barely made that much once we moved to the US (family of 5) and we've been fine so far alhamdulillah. I know newlyweds who make ~50,000 or less for just two of them and live a decent lifestyle

I made awesome mac n cheese for dinner alhamdulillah, I'm gonna go devoooouuur it now

Yeah, 70 K is definitely enough to live on fairly comfortably, but I guess it depends on whether you're used to the nicer things in life or not.

Yea, this is like the 3rd time I'm probably going to have a quarrel with my family over a perfectly great guy, who just happens to have a lower income. I'm so sick of arguing over the same things. My parents don't even want me to like a guy with a beard....
I was in the same exact position. I too was like oh what's the big deal it's still a good income but then I put things in perspective. I've had rishtas that make around that range and I had to ask myself if I could live really off of less than 1/10 of what my father makes (I'm talking about in the long run, obviously starting salaries are different and people move up in life). It's not just about the number, but what it is in relation to things. And it's not about living a high end life style but other things like being used to take out loans or budgeting on far less than what you've done all your life. Some folks can get used to it, but it's difficult for others. I just think marriage has a enough stresses and this doesn't need to be an added one. But insha'Allah you'll find the right guy. I knew a lot of girls who were in this position and in the end they were able to end up, alhamdulillah, with someone who could meet both the parents' and the bride's expectations.

Oh and the whole beard thing, I like beards but my dad would always say stuff like "ok, as long as he doesn't abuse you." And mind you, my family is religiously conservative and there are plenty of good bearded men in my family (like my own father's brother). I guess he was just worried about false piety. Anyways, even though my husband now doesn't have a beard he has a pretty darn cute goatee masha'Allah...

Heh. I won't have that problem. My parents would have a problem with a man being too wealthy though. They really think it's just better to marry somebody at your own level.

Also, I bet they'd freak out if I wanted to marry a guy with a beard. Nobody in my family has a beard. My dad will probably grow one when he's older, heh.

sommerset has like...all 3 types of stores...poor, average, and super rich..lol

great lakes has great stuff, and most of the stores are outlet stores (the aldo there is BOMB everything is always half off)..

damn it man, im so freakin depressed.

i have been having acne problems ever since i got married. non-f'ing stop. so finally, just a week or two ago, my skin started clearing up to the point where there were no more acne, no more scars.. nothing. and God, i was so happy. and i thanked God so much. but now, all of a sudden, they're back. and i already have marks on my face.

and you all may be like, oh acne, how superficial or not a big deal... but it iss. its embarrassing, i dont feel good about myself, and i hate going out or even being with the hubbs. ugh. i hate this.
