But also, that's 'cause I know when people are being sincere. 'Cause if I look good, then I know I look good. Or also, lots of people have told me I look good that very same day.

Also, I try and only give compliments when I mean them. If it's a close friend, I can be like "Uh, what the hell are you wearing?" but if it's virtually a stranger, then I'm not gonna make a comment on something odd or tell them their dress is pretty when it's actually really hideous.

Well, I mean, it's kinda obvious. If I've made the effort, I obviously know I've made the effort. And people will recognize that, duh, 'cause they're not blind.

And I don't usually wear make-up so if I am wearing make-up and people are like "Hey, you look good!" (though of course they can tell it's just the make-up ), I'll be like "Awww, thank you! "

today, at juma prayer:

family friend: "only_one mashaAllah you look amazing today"
only_one: I took it lightly, i thought she's being generous with her kind words. "aunty you look everyday mashaAllah =D" ---> i really meant it, she'll always well dressed.

my mom pulls me aside when she sees the aunty is near the exit..

my mother: "only_one, this is the lady i was telling you about the other day"

it's funny when the person next to you is rejoicing the cold fronts coming in n saying stuff like it's so nice n cool outside, wanna go for an extra long walk and you're shivering in your layers while searching for more layers around the house to put on n thinking to yourself "those curtains look thick n warm, i wonder if it'll look weird if i just sit by the window n wrap myself in one, like comlpletely nonchalant..."
