So..civil court it is, insha Allah I love NY I am done with maulanas....dealing with them is making my imaan weak. I dont want to believe the "maulvis are evil" stereotype but its kind of hard when they all act shady. So Id rather just not see the shadyness.

Re: Female Personal Hygiene
I think I'm pretty good at accepting compliments. I'm just like "Thanks! " And if it's an item of clothing, we can proceed to discuss where I got it and for how much.
But also, that's 'cause I know when people are being sincere. 'Cause if I look good, then I know I look good. Or also, lots of people have told me I look good that very same day.
Also, I try and only give compliments when I mean them. If it's a close friend, I can be like "Uh, what the hell are you wearing?" but if it's virtually a stranger, then I'm not gonna make a comment on something odd or tell them their dress is pretty when it's actually really hideous.

duas for you this is exciting!!

thanks so much khadeeja
we're going through guidance financial. granted, their rates are higher than your average bank/lenders, and their customer service sucks, but at least we'll have some piece of mind regarding the whole riba issue. insha'Allah.
guidance is nationwide i believe. if not, try lariba. it's based out of california.

ditto. i mean, i don't hate myself, but im not gonna lie to myself and be all up in my mirror like 'daaaamn girl, you're one hot tamale!!!' we can't all be hot, right? haha.
like chotoo said, i don't think it about much. although, to be completely honest.. the one thing that i DO obsess about is my weight. i did a lot of emo eating in the past two years, and it's kicking me in the butt cause i can't get rid of it. i don't eat much normally, and im really active..but. it just won't go away. and i have a fat face so that makes me all the more conscious of it.
meh.
oh. and i suck at taking compliments. don't compliment me..cause i WILL make you feel awkward about it.

hahaha i didn't say it was wrong! just that i don't do it. and you ARE a hot tamale so you're totally allowed to do it.
ps. a friend of mine got me a tshirt for my birthday. and its a size smaller than what i normally wear. and when i told this person that, i got this response:
"hmmm whatever. get skinny to fit in. i don't care. throw up. don't eat. I DON'T CARE. just fit into it somehow. fatty"
hahahahahah.
