Tea
Post which you like.
I just tried Numi brand Earl Grey, it tastes kinda floral and spicy. Is milk usually added to earl grey? I drink normal chai with milk and sugar. I like the Numi Jasmine Flower green tea and the Gunpowder green tea with some honey in it. and I drink of cup of regular (Lipton) chai every day.

Re: Tea
My mother loves tea. She has her little collection of teapots and teacups too. I took some pictures, attached below, of how she decorated the house with them. I like that she didn't OD on it and have teacups and teapots all over but instead did it subtly. I can't thinking of tea or anything that has to do with tea without thinking of her. She loves black and Earl Gray.
Now, I personally, dislike tea but can drink it. Lol.

Re: Tea
Milk does not go with Earl Grey, blasphemy. If anything, lemon.
No one outside Britain and tea growing nations really knows tea. The amount of times in foreign countries I've been served Earl Grey or English breakfast, when I've requested another, even at hotels that purportedly cater for British tastes.
Kitchener and others should have spent less time preaching cricket and the Christian faith to the fuzzy wuzzies and more time spreading tea.

Re: Tea
MoonStar: I love you for starting this thread!
I'm a tea-fanatic!
I think the best way to tell what tea tastes good is by trying it without sugar. I've tried to many tea brands, and I think the best Earl Grey is the loose powder one that comes in Ahmad Tea. I don't know if they sell it North America, but I've seen it in some shops in London (Edgware Rd.). You can add milk to Earl Grey, but then you'll have to brew the loose powder first, add the milk next and then bring it to boil.
I recently tried Rose Petal tea, and it wasn't very bad. My favourite is authentic Moroccan tea.

Shadha I love what your mother did
I think Earl Grey is too British for my taste, I put honey in it but it was too flowery, I'm going to try all the other Numi ones one by one though.
Arabesque the rose petal tea sounds good.

Re: Tea
I do like Moroccan tea. It's sweet with a real flavor of mint. I think Earl Grey is too bland.
Arabseque- my mom swears by Ahmad Tea too.

If you don't like Earl Grey, you might not like the Rose Petal tea much.
I suggest Darjeeling.
There's an Indian coffee shop here called Barista that offers the best Darjeeling I've tasted so far. They use Indian-grown Darjeeling tea, probably from Darjeeling (the district). I'd say it's less "flowery" with a tinge of spice.

Re: Tea
I dunno Shadha. I think that is overdoing it with the tea-related decorations. There's nothing subtle about that. Were you being sarcastic?
Though I love the plant in the teacup.
My parents like black tea too. Orange pekoe because they're desi.
I like tea sometimes.
