cute, shahda. your family sounds adorable, mA.
---

so i tried making some non-traditional cinnamon rolls. instead of the traditional white glaze icing i just topped it off with butter and pecans.

and then i made some puff pastry filled with peach filling... it's not the prettiest thing in the world but it tasted good, alh. it's light, tasty, satisfies your sweet tooth w/out feeling too full. The warm peaches go well with ice cream..mm.

That looks delicious sugarberry.

I made brownie cups, it's brownies made in cupcake form. The recipe I used was supposed to be low fat, but I didn't have apple sauce, so I ended up using butter.

For the funnel cakes, is that just deep fried pancake batter?

I was watching food network the other day and Barefoot Contessa made these cinnamon roll/sticky buns where she rolled out the puff pastries, put the cinnamon suger and raising in the pastry, rolled it just like buns. In the bottom of a muffin tin she put pecans, butter, and cinnamon brown sugar mix, then put the rolled up puff pastries on top and cooked.

Then all you do is flip the muffin tin on a serving sheet when they are done and POOF you have cinnamon rolls/sticky buns.

Did you use butter? I think the recipe calls for 3 tablespoons of butter for 6 cups of rice krispies.

I have the strawberry pretzel squares in the fridge now. I'm so excited about them. I told a friend about it on what, Wed? And already she has made them twice.

Going to a BBQ, I'll post pics later.

i just made an apple pie but im too embarrased to take pics and put them up cause i forgot to seal/flute the edges and while trying to cut it, the top came off! AND i brushed wayyy too much egg yolk/water mixture on top so theres too many brown spots! inshallah im gonna try a second attempt at it though (this was my first one ever at apple pie).

but as messy as it is to cut a piece out and transfer it in your plate, it tastes delicioussss, truly like an apple pie alhumdulilah.

You can puree any ripe fruit, add a little juice, and make ice pops. Sometimes I use yogurt like I'm making a smoothie and freeze that for pops. My kids loved it when they were little.Still do, and so do my grandchildren. Mango makes some awesome fruit pops.
