Re: The Art of Baking
Does anyone have a really good brownie recipe? Or some way of making the boxed one more fancy? I want to make some to take to a friend's place.

Thanks, but I was kind of hoping for something that people here have actually tried.

Re: The Art of Baking
I hate it when I get the urge to bake up 25 pounds worth of fat and then realize that I don't have baking soda or chocolate chips or something. Or if I'm having guests over and I need to make a cake but I have to run to the grocery store first.
What baking staples do you guys keep in your pantry at all times to make sure you can always randomly bake and have what you need. You'll obviously need to make a run for recipe specific things or fancy desserts, but I'm talking about ingredients for basic cookies, cakes, etc.

Re: The Art of Baking
i always have flour, baking powder, baking soda, sugar, brown sugar, and different chocolate chips in the pantry. i went to costco once and did all this in one go, because i hate being in the baking mode and then not having like 1.5 tsp of baking powder.
