I baked an Apple Pie, and it actually looks as good as it tastes. The crust isn't icky and over burned and the design isn't cracked. Its sooo pretty oh so pretty mashaAllah

I usually use half whole wheat and half all purpose flour. It makes the dough a lot less dense

yeah, i tried that. i dont know what it is but it keeps turning out too coarse...and annoying to knead...so i made a small experiment again yesterday and it wasnt successful
the other white flour dough was awesome mA
i reallly need like a cookbook or something on whole wheat cooking..
and a new apronnn

Re: The Art of Baking
like i dont know why it's a big deal because i make the desi roti dough and i can knead it fine. but i think it's the yeast mixture that makes it hard with the pizza dough. i dont really know. maybe i need a diff recipe for whole wheat? what do you use and how much (cups of flour, water, salt, packs of yeast etc?)
and then also it's hard to roll out whole wheat dough. and i understand now why i am SO good at rolling out and shaping soft white flour pizza type dough than whole wheat..i can shape it into a perfect circle but i completely blow when it comes to wheat

3 parts regular flour and 1 part whole wheat maybe... I can't remember what I did because I haven't used whole wheat in awhile.

Ooo can you post the recipe please? I baked apple pie twice or three times before, but the crust always came out dry and tasteless.

Hey sally, how did the crust come out? Did you use all whole wheat flour?
I always alter recipes and use like 1/3 whole wheat flour and the rest white flour. It usually works without taking away from the recipe's deliciousness scale.
We got some fresh strawberries and peaches. I'm looking up recipes to see what I can do with them .
