why have the administrators made it so hard to register on this site? I am talking about the Image verification thing when you register. Almost all the image verifications are un readable. I had to try around 15-20 times before i finally got it right. Whats the point of that stupid things anyways, and why have you made it so hard?

I didn't find it too hard when I registered. Its put in place to stop Spambots registering and spamming up the boards.

It's possible for the admin to make the image-verification easier by disabling 'random fonts', 'random sizes', 'random slants', etc.

They want to make sure only the most determined and most elite users make it through the first cut. The second cut should be coming any day now...

yes, as otheres mentioned, it helps keep out the spammers who use automatic programs that can register and post spam on forums for them.

although even this doesnt keep out all spammers. some are determined enough that they actually go through the trouble of registering, just to be able to post a couple of spam threads before they inevitably get banned.

so yeah... its an unfortunate necessity. but you typically only need to do it once, unless you are reating multiple alter-egos. in which case, one might consider that a form of spamming as well

Its kinda telling that a tool like Rambo is the only one who's ever complained about the registration process. We would have a minimum-IQ threshold for anyone who wants to register on Islamica.

It's to make sure that only the finest and most capable are able to join Islamica. If you managed to get through, congratulations, you are among the elite of internet Muslims.

I mean imagine if we let any old riff-raff in, who started posting inane threads about whatever sprung into their mind without thinking. Imagine what Islamica would look like then. Oh wait... oops.
