I had to ask this question...to all those organized ladies outthere..spit it out..
SubhaAllah, i got no organizational skills. When I hang my hijabs on a hanger..I find all of them on the floor very next day b/c the hanger can't withstand the heavy weight(10 hijab or less per hanger)..So I thought of hanging my matching hijabs with the outfits. then it was too impractical for me to do that every now and then then I decided to place all my hijabs in a laundry bag..and pick them out as I need it..its ok so far..atleast they are all at one place.. ![]() How do you organize your closet: is it similar to Le chateau style: where you have them organized by colours? clothing style: traditonal clothes and then followed by casual clothes then sleepware or all skirts at far right and all pants/trousers at left..and blousers and shirts in the middle.. lemme know what has worked best for u for i am going insane? i feel its time to donate..

From left to right: pants, shirts, skirts, shalwar kameezes.
Shoes on the bottom shelf, even more to the left. Make-up, jewellery and products all on higher shelves above the shoes. Hijabs are all in one spot. Can't find any good scarf hanger though... maybe can use a tie hanger? I have a big closet, Alhamdulillah, so I don't need to use any dressers or anything. But fast running out of space anyway. Ahhhhh. Gotta clean it soon.

I have limited space to begin with: a) I share my room with my lil sister. She is a TEENYBOPPER, so whatever I wear she considers it cool and wears it(minus my abayas). Not only i have to clean aftermyself i gotta learn after her too..my closet is approx 6 ft high by 2 ft in width..its quite small..so thats why ihave those build in shelves...to store my extra clothing..since im a book junkie, not all my books fit in my bookcase..so i have organized them by subjects in my closet.
![]() did u mention shoes in ur closet? i cant fit all my clothes..let alone shoes :cries: |

i've tried so many ways to organize my hijabs
but in the end, they all get sloppy cuz when ur in a rush u throw em all around and in the end u have to refold a bunch of them. and with hangers, u can only put like 4-5 on each...and they fall off and get all messy.i just keep em in a drawer in my dressing table now

*sighs* I need to do this today..
I have two low plastic cupboards I got from target in my closet..one for pjs and one for hijabs, camis, socks, etc. I have a plastic long rectangular container that fits under my bed for sweaters in the summer and tshirts in the winter. jeans and pants go on the upper shelf of my closet. everything else I hang up according to how often I wear it...like dresses and suits and formal stuff is farthest to reach, long sleeved tops are in the middle.

I organized my hijab according to colors and shapes. I used to hang mine too but I like it when I can see them so I know what to wear. Now, I fold them in the following stacks and put them on the top of the closet :
Dark colored triangular ones Light colored triangular ones All Blacks in one pile (triangular and wraparounds) All whites in one stack All dark wraparounds in one pile. It makes it very easy.

Wow, this is my kinda thread.
Well I have SO much storage and still lack of space. Anyway, in one of my cupboard I have all my saris. They go in order for price so I know which one is for occassional wear and which for just small parties etc. Then in one of my drawers I have petticoats. In another one Hijabs. I fold my pashminas in on pile, square hijabs in one, long thin ones in another pile. Then in my other cupboard I have all my suits, they are in order of fashion. The pajami suits in one section, then the churidars, then the trouser suits and all my coats and jackets on one side. In another one of my drawers I have all my western clothes. In one pile i have trousers, another tops, another dresses. Oh and finally I drawer for all my jewelry and then a drawer for all my cardigans. Ok yeah, so I am an organised freak.

I have a small closet but put another rod inside for hangers and added more shelves for the hijabs.
blazers, sweaters, dresses, slacks, skirts and buttondown shirts are on hangers. (or if they need to be ironed they're in a basket by the ironing board until I need them). tank tops/sleeveless sweaters are folded on shelves. hijabs are folded and stacked on each other by color. jeans are folded and stacked on the floor of the closet. sleepwear is in a bin. and outside my closet I have a typed list of outfits for summer, winter, and homewear which I cross off as I wear them b/c I don't like to repeat outfits too often. all my warm weather clothes are currently in my brother's spare closet. and my lenghas/fancy desi clothes are in my mom's closet. Coats are in the porch closet. Stuff that I don't wear but want to keep is in the storage room closet. |

Ok, here's a little tip about hanging scarves that someone can use inshallah. You could buy those little plastic shower-curtain-rings, attach one ring to a hanger or a bar in your closet. And then link the rest together to create a chain that you can loop your scarves through... It doesn't work so well for large square scarves, but it's great for shaylas.
