Default To all u math lovers out there

Ok i'm tutoring my bro for his gcse in maths and was marking his work when i realised i've forgotten sooo much of the gcse stuff. Hence I have a couple of q's i would be eternally grateful for some advice on:

1. Frequency Polygons: The point u place in the graph should be the mid point of the interval right?

2. Stratified Sampling: If your asked to work out how many people u need from each category for a sample of say 50 ppl and when u do the formula (number of ppl in category/total number)*50 for each category and u have had to round up or down.. n u get perhaps 51 at the end when u count how much.. wat do u do??!! is it ok to leave it like that??!

thanks!

Yes, you should plot the frequency at the midpoint of the interval (BBC - GCSE Bitesize - Maths | Data Handling | Frequency polygons)

Is it possible to post the question here? The rounded total should add up to 50, not 51, as far as I know.
