Any nurses/nursing majors up in here?
Salam all 
I'm majoring in nursing, but I've got a long ways to go. I just wanted to see who else had the same major.
Right now, I'm registering for anatomy for the fall semester, yeeeeeeeee!
Who else shares my excitement? Hollaaaa!!

I'm in graduate school right now studying to become a nurse practitioner.
I haven't decided between family nurse practitioner and psychiatric mental health nurse practitioner yet..
It's nice to see that there are other Muslims in the field...
And Salman Jafri..
there are many different tracks for getting into nursing.. and there are different types of nurses..
You would have to be more specific, but if you are referring to the traditional way of becoming an RN, that would be four years undergrad. However, there are accelerated programs to get into all levels of nursing for people with other educational backgrounds.
For example, i'm in a MEPN program, which is a fast-track program for people with non-nursing bachelors degrees to become nurse practitioners. |

Is it true that some hospital will help pay for your RN while you work for them? Can anyone provide me more information on this and which hospitals in NJ/PA/NY offer this, if any? Or how I would go about finding out which hospitals?

I got an e-mail about a free books & tuition nursing program at the UDC. I'm not sure how it all works out, but I'll quote the e-mail. If you want the contact info then let me know, I can PM it to you, insh'Allah.

I just got accepted into a Nursing Program (RN)
I still have to buy so much stuff, and take a physical, and get CPR training
