Yes, 32 teeth is the normal amount counting wisdom teeth. I have only 24.

Re: The official "tooth doctor" thread..
my top wisdom teeth are mostly grown in and the bottom two are kinda making their way out. they bother me a little sometimes. flossing is annoying, but i do it because, well, obviously. is it really better to have them taken out?

every once in awhile I like to poke around the dental section in the pharmacy to see what's new.
I haven't really looked much at the whitening stuff because you get the fastest results by in-office or custom tray bleaching. but I'll look and let you know.

Re: The official "tooth doctor" thread..
my left side hurts when i do a biting motion..like in the far back, lower set of teeth..i get a sharp pain.. which starts near my ears
what could it be
it just started a couple hrs ago
the night before last my throat got sore..which hasnt happened for a loooong time..and then i woke up the next morning with a really bad sore throat/slight fever.which lasted until early this morning.. and then the jaw pain followed..
ive read something abt sore throats being associated with wisdom tooth eruption?

it might just be referred pain. if it still hurts after your cold goes away, consult your friendly dentist.

Budmano,
Is there really a big difference between invisalign and metal braces? I dont really need braces but im vain and want a perfect smile (but I dont want a metal mouth so does invisalign work just as well?)

invisalign can do a good job and in certain patients, just as good as metal braces...but in general, the orthodontist has a lot more control in moving teeth with traditional braces...maybe you should consider ceramic brackets...nowadays they can be barely noticeable

salaamz,
Ive got a canker sore at the bottom of my mouth in and around facial area ..its quite uncomfortable? whats do you guys recommend? I heard of antiseptic mouthwash (e.g. Listerine), and/or good old saline solution? I dont know much about taking Lysine-L supplements. Would you guys recommend it?
