Managing Test Anxiety -- Is there a cure for it?
How does one go about curing this psychological problem? Is there actually a cure to it? or Do you know anyone who experiences it? How do you manage to overcome it?
What does test anxiety feel like?
* Some students experience mainly physical symptoms, such as headaches, nausea, faintness, feeling too hot or too cold, etc.
* Others experience more emotional symptoms, such as crying easily, feeling irritable, or getting frustrated quickly.
* A major problem of test anxiety can be its effect on thinking ability; it can cause a person to blank out or have racing thoughts that are difficult to control.
* Western students are strongly encouraged to seek assistance at Student Development Services if you experience interfering levels of anxiety prior to and/or during tests and exams; if you are not a Western student, speak with a counsellor or physician about support services.

I suffer from it. I do tasbeeh before the exam, it usually helps.

Re: Managing Test Anxiety -- Is there a cure for it?
A good way to manage anxiety is to calm your senses by looking at something that brings back great memories. For example:

Here, he is saying "Be my dost"

Here, he is saying "Mujhe Sharam Attahai"

Here he says "I can see you"

Here he says, "you wanna go dance baby?"
Yes Mr Khan...I do want to dance.

If you had posted Katrina Kaif's posters that might have excited me for a second or two.
But Amir Khan?
Now THAT is disappointing.

i used to be the worst one to give exams..now i recite Surah tul Yasin the night before and Surah tul Fatiha just before the writing the exam and I have began to think positively and I dont make exams/tests a life and death situation. I tell myself if "aar ya paar" aka if I pass Allah subwa na wa tallah has willed it so and if I fail He has willed it so and go back and re-evalutate the factors which contributed to my failure and i try to learn from it..
Physically, before writng an exam, i like spendng sometime outside the four walls..outside in hte wilderness (or anywhere there are more trees and less people) and I take some deep breaths it helps change my focus for sometime and calms me down. and I absolutely avoid the "tense" hallway crowd before the exam for they even increase my anxiety..
hope u do well inshaAllah!

What happened to you? Asking for non-spiritual methods and drooling over Bollywood starlets?
Where's the fundamentalist Nayab?

But why do you ask, Timbit?
non-spiritual methods = medication/tips on overcoming anxiety
The fact remains that Katrina Kaif is still hot, however, it was intended to be a sarcastic joke which apparently flew over your head
also level of faith is not written in stone
