Who goes to an online university? like Devry or University of Phoenix?

Yeah, I was wondering about the credibility of those. Not specifically Devry, but in general.

I go to Art Institute of Washington and we have online classes as well as degree's and MANY PEOple take online courses / degrees and they are very LEGIT.

Con: Many of the online universities are Nationally Accredited. Awesome. However, you have to realize that depending on where you choose to attend a 4-year university, that online university may not be regionally accredited and hence, your credits that you earned from the online university will not transfer.

Pro: It looks great on a resume and depending on your age, it will even look better. Your employer will see you as having determination, self-discipline, organizational skills, and willing to go outside the box.

I disagree with the pros. I have a friend in HR and they throw away resumes that have University of Pheonix or the alike.

I think is best to differentiate between "online unviersities" and regular universities that offer online degree.

I took many online classes before-it's good....but I went through an accredited school where I took classes which were on campus as well.
It's way better to do it online,imo. It doesn't even feel like you're in school, but it's way more work and no one there you can ask question easily,etc.
