why is the working day 9-5?

why is the normal working day 9-5 or 8:30-5?? why can't it be more later like 10-6 or 11-7?

i hate waking up so early for work.

Accounting. When stuff needs to be done, it needs to be done pronto. Otherwise the financial system (Or atleast my area) is in jeopardy of not being balanced.
p.s. I get paid monthly, so no overtime pay I have this job for the experience so I dont care about the pay...

Hopefully, it is enough to warrant the hours!!! I couldnt imagine doing that, spending so much time at work, it becomes your second home and eventually your life.

Well the work varies widely and I get tons of experience. So it's not suffocating. Since it's also a muslim company I get time of for Salah etc...

My old job was much more suffocating. Very low pay with long hours...needless to say I got out of there quick

At least it is a muslim company so you can fraternize and relate to your coworkers, unless they are a bunch of jerks.

The administration is all Muslim. Most of my coworkers are non Muslim. Out of 60 people about 8-10 are Muslim. There's even a Prayer room though hehe.

tomorrow its 5am-1pm

stop whining about getting up so early, i wake for fajr eat, clean up/shave and go to work.

During the holidays i work 5am-5pm most days.

I work from 9-5 It's pretty cool.
