Re: for those who live in chicago
anyone else feel the earthquake?
my bed was shaking,
so first i thought it was my mom waking me up for fajr. then i thought it was my brother trying to scare me. then i thought it was a NIJJ. then i thought i was feeling dizzy. and went back to sleep.
May Allah protect us!
i've been learning about the New Madrid earthquakes since like the 7th grade. and the teachers always say 'it's not a matter of it, but when'

You're like a 5 year old taking a crap in the middle of a grocery store and then beaming at all the attention they get. The only reason anyone knows or cares about who you are is coz you're looked upon as a freakishly stupid joke. I guess having low self-esteem allows you to think - or perhaps necessitates thinking - that that makes you important.

I'd appreciate it if you not use my posts in some personal vendetta you have against a member. you want to be childish and immature and call another member 'gay', that's your choice, but don't quote my post and say I'm implying something that I clearly wasn't.
you really need to start acting your age and not let your life revolve around islamica.

Re: for those who live in chicago
oh revert, a great halal place to eat is "the afghan restaurant" on devon street. great food and great service. it's owned and managed by an afghan bro and his mom and every time me and my husband go in there to eat, he (or his mom) takes the time to come over and talk, ask how you're doing, etc etc. prices aren't too bad either.
if you're looking for free stuff to do, just wandering around downtown is fun. I particularly like the water tower area.
lincoln park area is nice also.. has a free zoo, it's off the beach.
you can check out the hot house also.. they have a lot of cool shows/exhibits/etc.. check out their website HotHouse - The Center for International Performance and Exhibition
mm, if I think of more stuff, I'll let you know. I'm just trying to remember places my husband took me to when I was new to chicago.
