Only when I work, I try to goto MCC because thats where all the african/arabs are...
Too much Urdu In Jame...I can't understand anything...I mean I just found out what Naan was...

I either goto Masjid-ad-Dawah which is near my home, Jame, which is near my work, or MCC which is my preferred masjid for after work...

I hope I can find a store front Afro Arab Masjid on Devon...

Or I might do as the Somalis Do and pray in African Restaurants...Probably the closest I'm going to get to an African Masjid on Devon...

wow my day started early. after i came home from devon on friday night, i went straight to sleep and got like four hours of sleep. i woke up at 2am, i didnt start shaving till 6:30am and then i went to meet up with some freinds at the eid namaz at jame masjid, which i went late to, and ended up missing half of the namaz. not only that it was jammed packed too. there must have been 5,000 men praying namaz there, and they even filled up to the roof top. people ended up praying on the street! i myself, ended up praying on the driveway, and had to use my own jacket as a jane-namaz/prayer rug, which i shared with another person. Since jame masjid eid namaz started at 8:30am, the plan was to head out from there over to the skokie eid, which was only like 15 mins away. since i couldnt find my freinds in that huge crowd over at jame, i went over to skokie. i have never been to skokie in my life lol. i think i have driven through there on touhy before but that was about it. so this place was over at touhy and cicero, just west of cicero. i drove down west on devon and took a short cut, via lincoln avenue and head up on touhy. as soon as i crossed cicero then i kept an eye out for the holiday inn. when i get there, aint no parking in the lot, it was completly full! i circled around for street parking, and since i have never been there before i was being extra careful because of the cops.

some of my freinds from jame masjid who headed over there later on said they got pulled over by the b.s. suburban skokie cops - just for tinted windows! then i had to park blocks away and followed the crowd, because i had no idea where the hell i was lol. but that hall was not big enough to accomodate everyone. each jamaat was filled to capacity. i guess being saturday it drew out a huge crowd and alot of people either slept in late or got stuck circling around looking for parking. but because it was a saturday i ran into so many old childhood freinds i couldnt believe it. heck i even met thier wives lol.

and i needed to buy a pack of sqaures, which i usually get really cheap on devon, since they are bootlegged. but since its eid, the shops where i buy it from ( i refuse to say where) was closed. so i head over to the gas station across the street from the holiday inn in skokie, and the hindu cashier started talking to me in hindi telling me "EID MUBARAK!" after he saw me dressed up in my shalwar lol.

but it was nice, ALOTTTT of hotties!!!

ooh my day was awesome too! (Alhumdulillah)

i woke up for fajr, then didnt go back to sleep becuase i was putting on mehndi. then i helped my mom with the food and stuff cuz my cousins were coming over. so yeah. hung out with them. then my dad's friend came over and his wife was tehre too, so i had to sit with them. but the fun part was at hte memon eid party at IFS....man...good stuff.

so at the party, my friend from school was there too. and we were sitting at a table and these lil kids came and sat next to us...and i was just talking to them and my friend was like they are being obnoxious, stop talking to them i was like ok..whatever...so then, we get up to get the food and the lil kids are like we will save your seat but those lil jerks didnt and some uncle jis came and sat in our seat so we are like wtf. so we went and sat on the stage. then this lil girl comes up to us and starts talking to us and then her older sister (still a little girl, second grader) comes and pulls her away and is like dont talk to strangers...and my friend and i are like..okkk...so then, after a while the older lil girl comes and is says to my friend, "You missy, put on too much makeup and too much contacts" and i was like ohhhh dayyym... and then she turns to me and says something..which i cant remember atm but it was hilarious...

then a while later, she comes up to us and is like, "i am old too" and i was like "i know" so she looks at us, surprised that we are agreeing with her and said "JEALOUS!" stuck out her tongue and ran away. then a while later, she comes back and saying all this crap to us. and at first i was being nice to her, then she started getting on my nerves so i was like, "listen (b****, in my head) you are being very rude. i know who your mom is and i am going to tell her how rude you are being. and dont think i am not." and you know what she says? "yeah? what color shoes is my mom wearing?" i was like "dude, why would i be looking at people's shows?

" and then we (my friend, the girl, and i) argued for a while and then the lil girl left...so yeah.

when my friend and i were leaving the girl stuck her tongue out at us

and left. we were like

okaaay...get a life bachi...
lol
so yeah.....

fun! Alhumdulillah. my friend and i were cracking up the whole time. such a lil girl with so much attitude. i was never like taht when i was little. if i had done something like what this bachi was doing, i would get a tight slap across my face.

oh and the bachi and the kid who didnt save our seats were related. jerks.

man those lil kids on devon are real brats lol. earlier in the week i was going to taraveeh at jame masjid, and these lil kids were throwing rocks into the pit hole were the old sabri building was. they kicked down some of the gaurd rails. i was worried one of them might fall in and break a leg so i told them to leave. and i saw one kid running out of the pit hole hahaha my god lol.
