Question for the Girls - Sex and the City fans
What is the appeal? I ask any girl about what they think about it and it seems like it's more of a cultural movement than a show. Now they're coming out with a movie...
So what do they say or do in the show that is so revolutionary or liberating etc? Every time I click past it, they're just sitting around drinking coffee.

Re: Question for the Girls - Sex and the City fans
it's the most vapid crap ever to be produced. they're a bunch of unattractive, foul-mouthed skanks. I don't get the appeal either

You can't be serious! That explains so much, like how she is always interacting with Casey and Samantha, and why she never seemed interested in Charles. I thought they would have made the perfect couple

I remember when sex And the City was on the air I went to a friend's house. The woman had kids who were like 12 at the time and THEY were watching it. I had to leave out because it was too uncomfortable hearing the women talk about that stuff with kids around. When they cleaned it up for syndication, I watched one episode but didn't get it. They are a group of successful women who sleep around. Big deal. If I wanna see that, I just change the people I hang out with.

Re: Question for the Girls - Sex and the City fans
assalamu alaykum
i read that sex and the city was mentioned on the family guy, ''so it's about 3 prostitutes and their mother.'' or something like that
is miranda the ginger one? the ginger one is the lesbian. The old lady and her haramness makes me feel sick.

Re: Question for the Girls - Sex and the City fans
uhhhhhh I watch it sometimes , I dont really like gossip girl though I did read one of the books, anyway Im not that into the show but its ok.
I guess what makes it ok for me is that you get to see these women with different approaches to finding "love".
Other than Sex and the City how else do you see an ADULT female being portrayed (character wise). Mainly as them being a wife, or like in those soap operas where they're psychotic back stabbers trying to take someones man etc.
In Sex and the City the women just work hard, and play hard
