who are desis?
desi is a word which comes from North india/ Punjab area, but does this word also includes people from south india, sril lanka, bangladesh are desis too? what about pashtuns, balochis in pakistan?

Nope. I never even heard the term desi till I was 12 and moved to the states and met some

i have only head desi ghee out of those. i have never lived in punjab, i guess they use it there |

Desi ghee...its a brand. the word means pure. its excessively used across the country..

the reason i made this thread is because i really feel out of touch with desi culture because of my kashmiri background. The thing you do, eat. culture etc.. are really different, thats why i wonder am i even desi????
