Thinking of moving to Chicago

So yea I flew into O'Hare yesterday and man, why does it suck so bad? I mean we leave late from Charlotte and get there a few minutes ahead of schedule, great right? and then we are stuck on the runway for 45 minutes because of another plane unloading still? We finally get out of the plane, and go to the baggage claim area and we see a couple of hundred or so bags just scattered throughout the area... The conveyor belt finally starts to move and for the next hour we are just watching other people's bags go through over and over? My feet are killing me and people are swearing under their breath left and right. Finally our bags arrive and I got an hour drive over to Kenosha.

But yea the snow is beautiful here! It's been about 12 years of so since I've been back and its nice and cold!

But seriously I've never been to a worse airport than O'Hare.

Bad timing. I was in O'Hare in June. Not a spot of snow anywhere and everything wen't like clockwork

i can get lost anywhere. eventually though i'll follow signs and whatnot.

im not sure what the big deal is about ohare either.. a lot of people talk about how they love and it and um..like what's there to love? i mean, the ceilings are glass..but what else is new?

It's got a nice bookstore to get lost in. Well atlanta has too now that I think of about it at the entrance of concourse E

Anyway the thing about Atlanta is that they change flights every other minute. Lots of walking and underground rail catching...

yea it was like 200 flights that got canceled. i was going to go into Milwaukee but surprisingly that flight was canceled and i was able to get in through O'Hare. In Kenosha now, my hometown(Wisconsin)

I wanna visit the Lombard Mosque does anyone know the address for it. South suburbs of Chicago I believe.

You left beautiful SD for snowy Wisconsin? How could you?!


I'm just bitter about getting stuck in a snow storm a few weeks ago. Desis really do not belong in the snow belt. Or the bible belt.

You don't understand that O'Hare doesn't compare to the horrific airports that exist: Heathrow, Miami, etc.

Everytime I go to O'Hare (even in the winter), I get no delays or people traffic and everything seems well-organized.

never been to heathrow or miami, but with my luck i would have just as bad a time!
