There wasnt an Urdu thread, and there should be!

Anyway, Khushamdeed khawateen-o-hazraat, umeed hai aap sab khairiyat se hongay, aur humari bhi khairiyat ki duan karte hon ge.
Hum ne yeh dhaaga is niyat se shuru ke hum bhi is lazeez zubaan mein ap se baat kar ke fasaahat haasil karein. Yeh dhaaga aapke naam.

On Saturday.. the Sens vs. Habs game was being broadcast in Urdu! They said it was Hindi.. But I heard a clip of it...freakin' hilarious!

I'm so glad my parents made me learn Urdu when I was a kid (the reading and writing). It was painful at the time, but it's a good skill now.

i havent read formal urdu in a while. i forgot how official and firm it sounds.

I think they usually welcome you aboard with hardcore Urdu and then switch back and forth from Urdu to English, because they have to cater to non-Urdu speakers as well. But overall, some of those ladies have a good command of the Urdu language.

I'm a big time sucker for Urdu speakers. I love hearing it. And I think its even cuter when someone tries to speak in tooty-phooty Urdu.

And once I was away on a 3 day retreat with tableegh jamaat and wifey was feeling sad at home. I wrote and texted these shaers to her from masjid at night time...
