Oho... acha?
Lekin mein tau apni nani amma ke baare mein baat kar rahi thi.
Isn't "oho" such a Pakistani exclamation? That and "aye hai" and "uff"... I find myself using them more and more often; they make me laugh.
Okay, funny thing: my younger cousins (one is 5 and one is 4) always say "hum ke" instead of "humare" for some reason. So they go "Hum ke papa ne bolo tha ke..." "Hum ki choti behna..." It's hilarious. I dunno why they do that.
Also, one of my friends speaks Farsi and whenever she's talking to her parents on the phone, me and my other Urdu-speaking friend (who's straight from Pakistan) always pick up some words and we go "Is this what it means?" Because that's when it means in Urdu. Very cool.
Anddddd her dad speaks to me in Urdu because like all Afghanis, he lived in Pakistan for a while... but I don't understand anything he says because (A) he has a horrible accent and (B) he doesn't speak it too well in the first place. I always just give her a look like "Uhh.... help?" But she doesn't speak Urdu and has no idea that her dad's Urdu is not the best. She's just like "Isn't it great? You can talk to my dad in Urdu!" And I'm like "Yeppp, it's wonderful."

Re: The Urdu Thread
There're some terms that really make me feel sick: Uff, oye-hoye, aye-haye. arrey..etc.
Not a fan.
