that place is in a seriously dodgy area. whenever we stpped people to ask where tinseltown was, people were very reluctant to stop and answer and most looked at us like we were high lol ''tinseltown?!... '' *step away from the crack heads*
they have good shakes anyway

I think everyone's just clueless there, fullstop.
A couple of weeks ago, I decided to pick my bro up from uni after his 6pm exam. I know, I'm an awesome sister. Anyway, driving in Central London is the worst thing anyone can ever do. Naturally, I got lost. ONE HUNDRED METRES from Goswell Road. I took a million wrong turnings and ended up God knows where. So I ask three different people where City Uni is and nobody has a clue. It's not exactly a small uni, either. In the end, I almost gave myself a heart attack when I found myself approaching that hideous ring-road at Old Street. With some really extreme quick thinking, I pulled into a nearby petrol station where some Desi uncle gave me proper directions using a map that looked like it was MADE for me. He's my hero.
Anyway, the moral of the story, Central Londoners are stupid and so is Central London with all its one-way systems. Also, I learnt that it's not wise to ignore Garmin, she's your best friend, not an enemy.

garmin?!
i dont know where goswell road is. I don't know the names of anyone or anything unless it's repeated to me a thousand times or i live on it or with it. so i know my name, the husbands and tottenham road court..or something. I currently do not know where i live, somewhere between exit 9 and 10. I'm serious. I find that every person we used to ask fr directions was either a tourist, couldnt speak english or both

Wa Alaykum Asalaam
Tottenham Road Court, that's so cute. It's Tottenham Court Road.
Garmin = my Satellite Navigation thing. You know the "in point 3 miles, turn left", yeah I don't like how she orders me about, so I ignore her.
Goswell Road is the main road on which the main part of City University is. It's also the road that runs parallel with St. John street, the road that Tinsel Town can be found on. Trust me, I'm like you, if not worse. I have no sense of direction and I'm the worst navigator ever but I try to be of some help but nobody seems to want my assistance.
I can understand tourists not knowing what I'm talking about, but a police officer?

Random: If you spend £5 on 17 cosmetics in boots, they give you this lip pallete free its sooo cute. (No I don't work in boots) it has a lip scrub, lip plumper, lip balm and 2 lip glosses in a little compact case thing with mirror inside and lip brush
Went brent x, hendon, cricklewood on monday. Hate waiting around for people, one hour in brent x alone is tooo much
Did you go IslamExpo in '06? (They never had one last year) I want to go this year inshaALLAAH
First of all, I need some ££££ aka a job
Oh yeah, I remember you asking about a halal chinese in walthamstow? There is one, in walthamstow market, if you go down the market, a place called tropical taste, one half of the shop does indian food like naans, curries, rice, kebabs, chicken tikka. The other side is a chinese/malay buffet. They have chocolate cake too

I spent too much in Boots the other day
But yeah I almost have £5 on my Advantage card so...
You know wot sis, it's funny we're talkin about this now coz on my way into uni I was thinkin I was less broke when I didn't work so don't worry about the job thing too much sis, jus keep searching and applying for jobs only you THINK you would enjoy/benefit/be good at..
And plz see attached pic for example of yummy yummy Chelo Kebab.. it may look standard but where I go to get them they're sooo nice
Urch, I hate Brent X man.. the air is so stale in there I can never breathe And yeah, I hate waitin for people too.. especially if you rushed to get ready and leave home and then you're sitting there like a plum thinking "hey, I live further away, had more to commute and didn't eat so I wouldn't get late - therefore I am a butthead "
That Chinese place ur talkin about sounds exactly like the place I did go but the one I went to was not in a market but somewhere on the High Street.. Am messaging my friend now to ask her what it was called!
Annie
EDIT - I can't attach the pic coz it's too big argh.. can anyone tell me how to put the pic into the text part of the message as opposed to attaching it??

Have you tried putting image tags around the url?
It works just like when you quote.
So say the url for your pic is: http://www.damndatjamrollisonecoolca...super_cool.jpg
You put image tags around it, like so:
[IMG]www.damndatjamrollisonecoolcat.com/jamroll_super_cool.jpg[/IMG]
