friend: be careful!!!
man:......
friend: so what if i took the case off and my phone broke?
friend's brother: then you'd have to be mentally retarded
man: i would say that, but i have to be nice to my customers

It's worse when your mom actually tells you daily that you're failing at life.

Default Re: Cracked Out Real Life Conversations

We were driving home from an Eid dinner and my dad pulls one of his classic guilt trips. He always does this and gets really dramatic.

Me: Baba, can you please put out that cigarette? The windows are up and I'm right behind you and the smoke isn't going anywhere but through my nostrils.
Baba: So?
Me: My beautiful pink lungs are turning black. Don't get me started on second hand smoking.
Baba: Ya'ani...(pauses and gets choked up but I know he's lying)....ya'ani...you wouldn't sacrifice your life for your father?
Me: What?!
Baba: You're not willing to die for your father?
Me: OMG Baba you're ridiculous.
Baba:

If only he could quit...he'd be an even more awesome father.

EDIT: I posted a convo a while back when my dad said that we are not losers and haters, but winners and lovers. Yeah, well I just heard him call my mom a hater for making fun of wedding slideshows.

Me: A little? UN SE KEHDO, KE AAJ KE BAAT HAMAARA KOI RISHTA NAHIN...KOI RISHTA NAHIN!
(Translation: You tell him, henceforth we ARE NO LONGER RELATED!

Her: Okay I will and I'll make sure to sound as dramatic as you

Remember my sister's unhealthy like for cutting up dead babies?

Turns out that applies to dead people in general. She missed one day of work (for Eid) and that was the day they did an autopsy on a 66-year-old man at the hospital and she was really sad.
