Okay, my Music prof, right? I was talking to her after class and she told me how she has connections to India. Her husband plays the tabla and has some Indian musician friends, and her grandfather used to live in India, he was a... and then she stopped in the middle of her sentence.
I was telling my friend about it later and he was like "Yeah, her grandfather was a friggin' colonial officer." He hates her; thinks she's Orientalist. Still, pretty funny. Like... yeah, we know what your grandfather was doing in India. Nothing to be proud of.

Was she being serious?My friend asking about my new boss: So is he sketchy? Me: I dunno, I can't say... but I half-expect him to tell me I have to sleep with him to get a promotion or something. Her: Okay, that's how you know he's sketchy! People on the bus were amused by our conversation.And no worries, people. I haven't accepted the job yet... partly because this man is so sketchy.
