Is there a rule that all of you has to be covered before singing a naat?

I went to a wedding like that yesterday and I just didn't get it. Why have a milad in the middle of a wedding?

We have milads and we have weddings, but as different events.

When a close friend of mine had a death in the family, we went to pay our respects at another khatam...only, this time there was a woman sitting there, an old woman, and people were crowding around her. In all the jostling and pushing, I heard someone say to me that I should go up to her, allow her to put her hands on me and whatever illness I had would be cured. So basically, she was granting shifa to people. It was sad and funny all at the same time.

timbit: I just found it funny that one minute everyone forgets about their Islamic duty to cover themselves and in the midst of all the mixing and haramness, they decide it's time to do their religious bit...so, wait, gotta cover my hair, the exposed stomach is a) attractive and b) just part of the outfit, hey!

those aren't "barelvi" memons. those are just regular, traditional memons. i've never seen a barelvi woman with her stomach exposed.
