You shouldn't be so quick to judge, people can show their devotion in different ways, it doesn't necessarily mean they're worshipping what they appreciate. Anyway, it's not something that I believe in but it is a part of my childhood that i don't deem evil.

yeah it's like a whole group of people singing nasheeds..it's called a juloos or something..or jiloos. like a huge procession..they have em in pakistan during eid milad un nabi.

yeah and you're right, it is surprising how well they can sing. I want to learn them as i grow older but most of them don't have anything written down!

anyways i cant sing so i dont need to learn them haha..and i actually saw the women read them off urdu newspaper clippings.. but a lot of them had it memorized..i guess cuz theyve been participating for so long

Umm, most of them are in memon, some of them vary with bits of gujurati/hindi. The written ones i've seen have always been in gujurati.
