sooooo our new neighbors are these gujarati hindus from near dhoraji..and they're sooo nice..and always telling us to like COME OVER!! and today my mom was telling me she ran into the elderly woman neighbor and she was full of info about dhoraji and stuff..and then my mom was like, yeah they said you guys need to come over and we'll tell you all about dhoraji..and i was like OMG THAT IS SOOO cool! and i kinda wanna talk to them more about the places history and stuff now.. cuz i REALLY wonder what it's like..and hopefully i can check it out one day..and see places my granddad lived in and stuff

OK, the expectation that people (religious Pathans, no less) in Peshawar in the 1940s would have TVs is not surprising coming from Timbit. But that's a tad extreme for you. So I will point and laugh

Also, actors don't generally start out as mega stars. He starting using the screen name when he was just getting into the industry. His family didn't find out what was going on until after he started getting famous, and one of his relatives who came to Bombay saw a movie poster with his face on it

how am i supposed to know dilip kumar is from the 40s. i thought he's a present day dude or like from the 80s.. *shrug*


and sort of offtopic but now im just wondering how many people had tv in the 40s in the subcontinent anyway.
