I guess the fact that I don't consider Urdu to be my "mother tongue" or speak "Memoni" in a stumbling, halting & generally broken fashion would tip me off.

Although fwiw there are a lot of East African Memons who are in/spend a lot of time in Karachi (a lot of them studied there or have businesses there)
