I personally don’t have a huge problem with moderate racist jokes that help bring people together, but sometimes people just take it too far. I was on 6th Street for Hallowen to check out the scene with a couple friends and took the following pictures.




There were a ton of people like this. The second picture isn’t horrible, but the first is so racist it’s unreal. I noticed that a few races get really hammered on Halloween:

• Arabs/Muslims
• Native Americans

Some argue that Halloween is equally racist against everyone, but if that were true I would see people dressing with T-Shirts saying “Nigger” and people dressing up as burnt Jews. But you probably won’t see that.
I would make this a double post and talk about how whoreish girls become on Halloween, but the picture would be too obscene even for my canvas.
I guess dressing up as cartoon characters and getting candy has gotten boring for people. Every year it seems like the girls get more prostitute-y and the guys get more racist. Instead of candy it seems like if girls have become the candy. Congrats 50 Cent. Your song “Candy Shop” has successfully turned girls into whores. And they say Islam makes the status of women low…pathetic.
It is in my opinion a holiday no Muslim should celebrate. But I won’t lie and be a hypocrite. I did dress up as and 1920’s Gangster because I was naive and didn’t know what Halloween really was. However, after I saw the truth of the holiday, I decided will never go again or do anything Halloween-y.
Halloween is Christmas for the Devil.

I personally find it even more disturbing that so many muslims(as evident from the Halloween topic) would celebrate such a horrible day.

The first costume in the link is pretty racist, or its based on stereotypes at the least. I dont see whats so racist about the second photo. Theyre just dressed as gulf arabs, it doesnt look like they are making fun of Arabs or doing anything racist. I see some African American muslims wearing those same exact costumes every year on Eid

Im not saying the second is horribly racist either.

What I'm saying is that on a day where everything is a joke, people ridicule Islamic things and you should hear some of the comments people say about them.

The second picture is of real Gulf Arabs. Yeah, there's nothing racist about it.
