For swimming, three times a week.
25 dollars a month. Could there be a pay-per-use charge?
And 15 mins or less driving distance.

I think maybe it's trying to do too much though.

Questions:

1)[/b] How often would you use this facility specifically for sports / working out in the gym / swimming?

b) Upto three times a week if there was a good gym and swimming pool. Especially the pool.

2) Assuming some of the facilities - such as the gym, the ball courts, etc were membership-fee based, how much would you be willing to pay?

b) Upto $25/month, which is how much I paid for my gym.

3) How far would you drive to use, or hangout at, such a facility?

b) 15 minutes or less.
c) Up to 20 minutes or more if it was a really cool place with lots to do and my friends came there.

4) General comment / essay question: - Assuming finance and space are not a problem [unlimited] what would you like to also see at this facility? Whether family based, general, womens-only, etc.

If there was a hangout room with a pool table for girls (usually all the fun sporty stuff seems to be on the mens side), that would be awesome. Or rooms that you could book for informal get togethers with friends or for parties. A women only beauty salon in there would be great. I liked sally's ideas of dance/martial arts/cooking/sewing classes. Self defense course for women. Stuff that would appeal to both teens and older girls/women.

If they played new movies there I'd go if the screen was big and the chairs were comfy and it wasn't rowdy and if my friends came.

Just spit it out. This question is for all those times you wished there was a facility that had "this kinda service" or "that kinda room" . Cafeteria. Womens' salon. Small theater. Bowling alley. What would be that one killer service / function at such a facility that would make you wanna come back over and over again? WHATEVER. Just write it up and lemme hear it.

Thanks to all in advance.

Please stay on topic.
1) most likely i'd use the facility once a week, seeing that the only time i have to actually do something is on weekends
2) $30 a month would probably be the most i'd pay
3) 20 minutes or more. a [segregated] muslim facility is totally worth the drive.
4) I'm not too big on the salon thing. Bowling alley and small theater would be nice . I'd just like to see a place for the muslim youth to hang out. Because we have none of that here. There's absolutely nothing for us to do, it's so boring . Most definitely a swimming pool. Cafeteria would be nice too

women-only power-yoga (not the fluffy downward dog relaxation type..ashtanga yoga) & pilates classes & swimming pool

if there were women-only yoga classes, I'd be there everyday.

and a daycare with qualified individuals who actually keep the kids busy and away from the adult areas. women-only areas at muslim function are always full of misbehaved kids running around.

Yes, you should have quality babysitting.... maybe even with a glassed wall so parents can feel like they can keep an eye on what's going on with their kids.

I would pay for a one year membership. It would be cool if there was a family package maybe if you have over 4 people you get a discount.

3) How far would you drive to use, or hangout at, such a facility?
I dont drive, I use public transit so Id prefer it be like around 30 mins away by public transit.

4) General comment / essay question: - Assuming finance and space are not a problem [unlimited] what would you like to also see at this facility? Whether family based, general, womens-only, etc.

SWIMMING LESSSONS!!! well we have them in gym at school but the lifeguard is a male , so the muslims girls cant participate and when we did have a female instructor they were very lenient in letting random male teachers just walk in if they needed to get somthing. Also I'd be interested in kickboxing, karate classes..
err Sports basketball,b-ball done in leagues or w/e ...etc.
Ummm Tutoring for students.
An Islamic library, where you can borrow books and stuff,
ESL classes!! and childcare thats not too expensive.

Thats all I can think of for now.

Sorry bro but that's much easier said than done ... there isn't much land in T.O. proper that we can build on, or even in Etobicoke. It'll probably be close to the major arteries but for now its looking like Mississauga ... central portion of it, to make everyone happy all around.

No kidding:

I would be willing to pay $30-$50 EACH MONTH to be able to swim in a ladies only facility, which I would use 2-3 times a week. I would be willing to drive 15 miles to use such a facility.
