Public highschools and muslims
When i go to pick up my sister from her highschool i have noticed that a lot of hijabis are hanging out with guys. even non muslim guys. I have even seen some hijabis doing things like holding hands, kissing, huging, touching etc.... . From what i hear from my sister i can confirm that these things are huge problem at her school. Are these kinds of things happening at other public highschools here in the west?

wow, and i thought high school was bad when i was going waaaay back in the day. Its to bad, inshallah its not happening here, but i dont know as i dont usually hang out at high schools!

yeah. there is a lot of stuff that happens. there really isnt anything you can do about it either. sucks.

This is why it's so important to build a healthy spiritual foundation in the middle school years so by the time you reach high school you are confident and independently-thinking. I think most Muslim kids should be homeschooled during their middle school years. I still think public high school is a necessary environment for everyone to be a part of.
