and i dunno dude; provided we're not meeting in one of the busiest places during one of the busiest times during the convention (ie, directly in the traffic of people trying to leave a hamza yusuf/zaid shakir main hall session), i kinda think it'd work better if we were at the convention center rather than trying to figure out rides (ie, how many girls can i squeeze into my car) to/from a restaurant (or 3 closed restaurants).

yeah, i agree with farah. if the islamica meet up isnt at the convention center, i probably wouldnt be allowed to go

seriously, i have never seen an organization as incompetent as isna. i hate them. we reserved 4 rooms for 3 days. our confirmation says, 4 rooms, 3 days. how many did they actually reserve? ONE room for three days. And their response? "oh, I'm sorry... but the hotels are all booked up now." seriously? SERIOUSLY? they pull this **** EVERY year. you would think that eventually they would grow a brain and realize how incompetent they are and set aside rooms to clean up their mistakes OR let the hotels take care of booking the rooms since clearly isna has no idea what they are doing... year after year after year.

I was contacted by 2 different people to go to ISNA with them, but I just dont feel it. How can you get your mack on in the lobby if its Ramadan?

I wanted to go, but I have a doctor's appointment on Friday. Besides, my parents said that even if I didn't have a doctor's appointment, they still wouldn't allow me to go.

u can get hijabs and abayas and pretty much everything u can get in UAE for twice the price unless she has good bargaining skills
