I don't think he cried because of what I said. I think it's the whole thing about Abeer and how she and her family were murdered. And then he got all aggressive on me, bismillah ... he was like, "TELL ME!! WHAT SHOULD I DO?" Miskeen, I took a picture with him at the end. I wish I could adopt him, but he's too old.

Speakers corner is like the real life version of Islamica, you even get real life trolls.
Anyway was pretty decent, my candle idea really made the vigil- I think it would have been a complete disaster without my candle idea, it really was amazing. I loved the way Arabesque started hating on some arab guy going on about how they're all really fat and just eat all the time, when he was right in front of her. Anyway nice meeting you both. |

Not intentionally lol he would spit as he spoke, nafoora ya3ni, and I got angry, especially that he was calling Muslims terrorists and all. So I simply told to stop spitting on me. Anderson reacted as if I had cracked a Borat joke.

I was laughing at the spitting dude cos it was very obvious he had no idea what he was talking about, it was pretty funny watching you try to reason with him and then go 'urgh, can you not spit on me'.
Anyway sending you pics but hotmails being a lady dog. |

Hello all
![]() Thank you to everybody who made yesterday's vigil possible, both in person and in introducing ppl online Anderson - ur candle idea was great, its jus a shame we weren't able to buy some of those tea-light candles to put loads on the floor.. Oh, and thanks a billion for printing out the pix and bringing your friend Amy and her Mum, plz do pass on my sincerest regards to both, I didn't manage to say bye to them ![]() Arabesque - where do I start, girl?! Apart from getting shouted at and spat on we both survived and you were able to draw in the crowds wtih ur moving speech as well as making grown men cry (I really want that pic wit u and the guy plz!) And again, if only we had more time to plan, I coulda sorted out a proper wicked banner made with the help of my tattoist friends but erm, Primark bedsheets and candles to the rescue, eh?! I know we didn't bring back Abeer or even bring her rapists/murderers to justice (for Allah is the only One capable of true justice). And for those negative ppl passing by the vigil as well as those sceptics who never saw the point of this from day one, for me if it brought awareness of REALITY to even just one new person then my job is done. This vigil was not to promote political beliefs or criticise anyone, it was merely to put a face to the horrendous stories that happen on a REGULAR BASIS and get brushed under the carpet. I got in touch with a girl named Melanie who has given me many good ideas. She was on the CND mailing list and got the email last minute so turned up at the vigil which was great and inshAllah with the tips she has given along with our commitment and small level of time we can move this into a much bigger thing - again not to just pinpoint this particular case but use it as a platform to raise awareness of other similar stories and inshAllah from there on Allah SWT knows best ![]() Lotsa Love, Annie
