After I saw the news about Ike causing the refineries to shut down, I went and filled up my tank immediately, even though I had only driven 52 miles It was still 3.74 for 89 octane thank god, but its a sad, sad day when I am HAPPY that gas is 3.74

is there a gas shortage in other cities aswell? the lines here are crazzyyyy. i turned left onto a road and couldn't go any further down cause someone was trying to turn into a gas station and there were lines all over the place. at one time, the driver stepped out of the car (that was in the middle of the road ) and people were passing by through the on coming traffic lane so i eventually had to do the same

Filled up gas tank at 118.xx something this afternoon. Not bad at all considering last fillup i did was 133.xx

I'm glad I bike. I haven't had to fill up in 3 weeks. And I still have more than 3/4 of my tank left. Maybe I can make it through the rest of the semester without a fill-up.

You're not in TN, are you? I know that Nashville, and a few other cities in TN, has been hit pretty hard with a run on the stations there. Something like 75% are out of gas. Many others only have regular. If you're not in TN, where are you? I've yet to here of major problems outside of TN.
