Its $3.56/59 for regular near my house. I get gas from the cheapest place near me. Well I just saw on gasbuddy.com that Sam's Club has it for $3.51 (even cheaper). I remember when Sam's Club had super cheap gas and all of the gas stations in the area were complaining that they were losing business. I miss those days, but I really miss the days when gas was like $0.95 and people used to be up in arms when it was $1.04. Those were the days .

Well, the Iraq war is destroying the economy, and with it, the dollar, so this really shouldn't come as too much of a surprise. At least 2/3rds of this price rise is due to the weakening value of the dollar.

Boycotting the gas company wouldn't really do anything, it's the price of oil. It's because OPEC is a cartel who decides how much oil they will sell and what they will sell it for, regardless of supply. In the US, this would be illegal but OPEC isn't really based out of the US, so they aren't susceptible to our laws.

The gas companies just buy the oil from them and refine it into gasoline.

It may help a bit if we start drilling in Alaska like Bush is talking about now, but there are already US territories that drill oil. That's more like "Well, they're selling it for this much, we should charge it so we can make that kind of cash too."

McCaine was talking about waiving the Federal gasoline tax for the summer, which is 18.4 cents/gallon. That's a decent start but of course the government would make up for those losses by hiking something else up, then not bringing it back down after the summer.

In order for that to happen, there'd have to be a pretty heavy societal shift in how we live our lives. I don't think that's gonna happen just because of gas prices until they get much higher.... right now in Europe, they think NAmerican gas prices are cheap.

On Friday, I went to fill up and when I was turning to put the nozzle into my car, it clicked and starting spraying ALL over.

I was on my way to work too, plus I had a super cute outfit on. I was so upset. Thankfully I had left the house early, so I had time to drive back home, shower [to make matters worse, I had cold water! ] and I only ended up being 10mins late.

At work, everyone was laughing at me, cracking jokes. My one friend, every time I walked past him, he held his finger up to his nose because I 'smelt'. LOSERS!

Oki, so I'm busy texting friends while driving home from work tonight. I get a message from one of my male friends. It came out the other week that he has a huge crush on me-- all this time I thought he was gay and was going to open up to me about it.

Anyway, I got a text from him that read:

"I'M GONNA GO DOWN ON YOU AND MAKE YOU SO HAPPY, THEN I'M GONNA COME BACK UP AND **** YOU REAL GOOD! sincerely yours : GAS PRICES!"

I'm not going to lie, I got ticked off in a quickness. Go ahead and crush but don't send me such a vugler text message. You're not my husband. So before replying to him, I read it again and I'm like oh wait and I read it again and then I'm like...AHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA.
