Re: Broke! How broke are you? The Broke Thread
That I now steal driving lesson money off my mum.
That even though events never happen here, and I've only been to one in my life so far, November/December had 3 and I decided I had to choose one.
Dawud Wharnsby and Idris Philips in Concert: £10
Allah Made Me Funny Tour: £14
Muslim Aid's 'Dining for Darfur':£25. I chose the last. More expensive but for charity so its worth it. Plus theres food.
That I almost debated if I should spend £10 on a book for uni, or a nasheed CD . My sister bought the book. I never bought the CD.
Why the heck did tuition fees have to go up . Back in the day (uptill one or two years ago) tuition fees cost a third of what they cost now and you could get it all covered by grant. Not anymore. I never took out a loan this year, coz I didnt want to pay back with interest. So I guess im gonna live the poor life for now. Its good though. You learn to be careful with your money I guess. Cept I really need a job, but I dont have that much spare time this year :s.

Re: Broke! How broke are you? The Broke Thread
VISA Bill: 853 dollars and some cents
Balance in Checking Account: 852 dollars and some cents
Seeing that yesterday just amused me so much.
Fred charged me twice for my contacts. Accidentally, I'm sure. Do I call him or VISA to have it corrected?

On my Mastercard I have a balance of over $18.5K and my monthly minimum is about $750. My other two [Amex] are both at zero.

Advise him of the error but call VISA directly and they'll take care of it with proper papaerwork that you have to fill out and fax back.

Re: Broke! How broke are you? The Broke Thread
Finally, Alhumdulilah, our savings account is growing. For the longest time I was soooo upset with how many withdrawals had to be made, leaving our balance at a dismal amount compared to what I'm use to. Nothing irritates me more than taking money out of a savings account.
With another reception, apartment, and my college in the works, I know this won't last long.

Re: Broke! How broke are you? The Broke Thread
So these days I really feel like spend spend spend like I never normally do. I mean buy things which I like but so arent worth the price. Usually that annoys me no end. But yesterday I went to topshop and I saw stuff like that and I was like, 'I like the look of you your coming home with me.' Cept, force of habit I dont impulse buy so I didnt get them. But I still want them.
Big dark grey leather handbag £45,
Small dark purple leather across the body bag £22 (which i dont understand cuz its not half the size of the first bag, it's like quarter of the size, so should be quarter of the price.)
Small bright blue leather money purse £12.
So not worth it. I want them all . Can I buy them, please? Give me permission someone .

Re: Broke! How broke are you? The Broke Thread
I'm so broke, I don't know if I'll be able to pay the minimums on my cards this month. I also owe the school money so that I can graduate. I just need to last until August, when I actually get paid.
