hahah i think the gold blends in with her skin color so you don't notice it as much

Thats exactly what I was gonna say........if its silver work on the dress, then its silver jewelry, if its gold work, then gold jewelry, etc...

I mean, in that picture it doesnt look bad, but I think silver would've been better

I concur. On a colored girl ...the mismatch would stand out much more.

okie, i need help. I have two weddings to attend this month and each are within a week apart. Lol. For my sisters wedding, I plan on wearing a dress but for the friends wedding, I wanted to wear a top with a black pants. Would this top be appropriate for a wedding...?

It's a super cute top, but I don't feel like it's dressy enough. I guess it depends on the wedding too.

I think it looks cool. It's kind of like a special kind of camo.

If you accessorize, it could be nice. But I kinda agree with Zakk, it isnt that dressy.

Ditto. Cute but not for a wedding.

Unless it was a satin fabric, then perhaps...

I don't like it.

The outfit is really nice but the gold clashes with it terribly.

I'd even go so far as to say that most desi weddings I've attended/seen are way too over the top in terms of accessories and jewellery [not to mention the caked on make-up]. This outfit, with all its intricate beading and detail alone is stunning enough - the necklace just makes it all look too busy and IMO takes away from her outfit.

It's like when you watch the Oscars or whatever, a simple elegant outfit works with great jewellery. But...if you wear a stunning necklace, you wouldn't want to wear heavy earrings. And vice versa: if you have stunning chandelier-like earrings, you'd forgo on the necklace.

There's beauty in simplicity, not in overkill.
