Black is not a funeral colour if you're desi though, is it?
We wear white at funerals. Kinda gives a whole new meaning to the white wedding dress that brides here wear.
But grooms always wear a black tux anyway. That's what my chachu wore at his wedding. So might as well wear a black sherwani.

Brainstorming for a friend. Her wedding is this summer iA!
If the wedding is seperately done, how can one manage the whole father takes daughters hand and gives her to the groom. At the end when they both meet and everyones taking family pictures/professional pics?
I dont think its possible. |

It is possible. This is how its done in our community. Just let the hijabi guests know not to take off their hijabs in the begining. When they walk in, the father and the groom can come in with her and do the whole father giving away the daughter to the groom thing. And then take a few pics and leave the ladies section. Then all the ladies can take off their hijabs and party as usual. Hope that helps. |
