I have a pair from Forever 21 that aches and those shoes are horrible. I will only wear them when I know I will be doing a lot of sitting.

Jelly, you should get some gel inserts for your heels. That way you have a little cushioning for your feet. Its worth a try.

that's a good idea, thanks. I think I will, bc after wearing heels for a few hours (even "comfortable" ones) the balls of my feet feel like they're on fire


At least it's definitely a huge workout for my calves and backside, both are incredibly sore today! mwahaha

these are one of my favorites, from the gap...but they can't be worn for more than 30 or 40 minutes. They're not even that high, but I think the way the wedge heel is shaped, it provides NO support for your foot whatsoever, and those puny little felt-material straps make my ankles sore after a while. They're so cute though, i love them

It totally sucks when you get new shoes and you find out that they are the most uncomfortable things ever. Ive become a little bit of a heelaholic so Ive only been buying high heels (which I really shouldnt since Mr. Meghan is shorter than me by 2 inches without shoes on!) so I can only wear flats around him and flats to work. So, I went out to payless and bought two pairs of flats and both of them suck. One of them rubs against the side of my pinky toe and my achilles tendon and made mad blisters (and im wearing them now to school so my foot is covered in bandaids) and the other one really really needs to be stretched out because they also hurt.

at some point, yeah. but by then, your calves might be permanently shortened, your posture will likely be pretty bad, and many of your tendons, ligaments, and bones will be out of proper alignment or so the foot doctors say.

i draw the line at blisters and band aids. sorry ladies- my feet do not look cute after that kind of abuse, and i prefer keeping them cute.

i wore my favorite, very awesome pointy patent leather heels out in dc once and got 2 blisters- not fun times. the other 3 girls had worn crazy heels as well. we were all barefoot by the end of it all. like, legit barefoot. in dc. it was fall and not warm. we were also not the only girls walking around barefoot with our shoes in our hands. is this an experience i'll be repeating ever? nope.


my feet won't stand for such injustice!

i wear heels only a few times a week. i love them but im paranoid about bunions, corns, blisters and of course the long term effects of wearing heels.

but i wonder what it means when my posture actually improves (i.e. i stand with my back straighter) while wearing heels? i already have bad posture without heels which i'm constantly working to improve, but while wearing heels i naturally stand up pin straight.
