Actually something does work for me lol . Its Maxfactor Masterpeice mascara, cuz it separates, but the other two I mentioned kinda gather my lashes together to make them look thick so it just looks like I have 5 fat eyelashes or something. I'm scared of eyelash curlers.

only thing that worked for me was "great lash" - the green and pink tube.. and then its allllll in your application technique.. i do the outside of it first, just kind of hit against them lightly, then go more towards the root and move the brush side to side a little bit as i move it out towards the end of the lashes. and then use a little comb thing to fix whatever needs fixing.

i used the ulta kit yesterday.. looked so hot.. will post pics

this only mascara I've ever cared for is maybelline full n soft. I started using it when I was 16 and all of the others I've tried between then and now haven't impressed me.

it makes your lashes thick without clumping them together.

the mascara was eh, not that great. it didn't lengthen my lashes or thicken them or anything.

Yeah, I ended up getting Loreal True-Match (shade N1) and if I put enough lotion on my forehead to combat the dry skin, and use a foundation brush, it works out pretty well. Hasn't given me zits or anything yet. It also doesn't look like I'm wearing make-up, but it hides those weird pregnancy discolorations pretty well. And it's less than $10. I was gunna buy the expensive Este Lauder stuff, but couldn't justify spending $30 on a foundation I'm only gunna wear for a few months, and then maybe once a year after that.

Inspired by HijabiShah, , I tried my hand out at outlining my entire eye, but I tried it with liquid eyeliner and kohl.

Maybe I should do the top line thicker and smudge the bottom line more? I'm really trying to get the hang of this liquid eyeliner but it's no easy stuff.

Also, I have almond shaped eyes and I think by lining both the top and bottom, it makes them appear smaller. Not sure if that's a good thing?

I am so undecided when it comes to liquid eyeliner.

Constructive criticism would be appreciated.

Oh and does anyone know a mascara that makes your lashes full? Like the full fan look that fake lashes give? Or something close to it?

that's what i've heard too.. lining both top and bottom can make the eyes look smaller... i prefer just lining the top and doing that sort of cat-eye look... i can't really tell from the picture if it makes them look smaller or not..

Shadha, I think it depends on the size of your eyes how much you should put on them, If they're big you can go all the way across the top, if they're medium youre meant to go like two thirds in from the outside, if theyre small then go half way in I think, or something like that.
Kinda what I do, but I tend to go halfway in and make the line smallest at the halfway point but then carry on a really thin line to the inner corner, I think it looks better than leaving it blank, just make it extremely thin. (But I usually make a total mess, and end up wiping away excess to create the line I want).

And whether you can do top and bottom I think prob depends on eye shape as well as size. But if they're small then I dont think it works, it would make them look smaller. I dont go al they way in with kohl on the bottom either, more like 2 thirds.

However if I just do the top with kohl, and leave the bottom blank, I can get away with making the top line a bit thicker even towards the inner corner.

Best advice: just try it out different ways, if certain things make your eye look smaller, try putting less on or making the line thinner at the inner corner etc.

Edit: I just noticed you made it quite thin on the top anyways, Im thinking maybe, with the kohl on the bottom, just go in one or two thirds with the kohl, fading as you get near to the inner corner, where the eye starts to get smaller, if that made any sense

Where can I get cheap concealers of good quality? At Walgreens, they are like 7-10 bucks.

how do you get smokey eye look without making your eyes look too small?
i mean, for smoky eyes, don't you have you put pencil eyeliner on both the top and bottom lids? but then, doesn't that make your eyes look smaller?

shadha: i luvvvv l'oreal telescopic carbon black eyeliner. it's only like $6/$7 bucks, and it has a felt tip that's a bit slanted. if you're a beginner for liquid eyeliner, this will help you become a pro
