Barbara Daly concealor from Tesco is meant to be good, only £3.50.

Less makeup makes you look younger.

Buy mini size mascaras cos large ones tend to dry out and you won't finish them by the shelf life which is usually 6 months. Borjois does mini mascaras.

Speaking of drugstore cosmetics, GOSH (found at Superdrug*) is really good. Much better than Rimmel IMO, which is so popular.

I dont know about foundations, But eyeliners and shadows seem really good, with deep colours, lasting power, etc. They have a pretty good range of bold colours aswell.

Oh and I discovered their Velvet Touch primer. I didnt know what it was when I tested the little pump sticking out of the shelf, but when I rubbed it on my hand I was like WOW how did that make my hand SO SOFT and smooth?! So I bought it . £13. It wont replace my MAC primer but I'l prob use it in addition to help smooth my rough skin.

And I bought Extreme Art Liquid Eyeliner.
I wasn't sure if I wanted it but I got it cuz it was 3 for 2 and I wanted my third item free .
Basically most liquid eyeliners I know easily wash off if you wet it and rub it/ when your eyes run a little, it smudges all over the place. But this one really stays it doesnt wash off, unless you clean it with something oily. Cept Im not totally sure about it cuz its kinda gooey in consistency like mascara, and it gets all over my eyelashes when I try to apply it.

And the thing I got for free, (which was the only thing I was gonna buy in the first place before I found out it was 3 for 2 ) was the VELVET TOUCH EYELINER WATERPROOF in woody green. I love velvet touch eyeliner, its amazing and deep and so soft and easy to apply and lasts aswell. I already have it in Black Ink.

*So anyways before you all start crying I found a US website for it that you can buy stuff off . Gosh Cosmetics.
Except I never found the primer or the Liq. liner on it , but that's prob cuz they're new? I dont know if you guys have it in stores in the US?

I haven't seen that brand. I see a lot of stuff I like, though.

oh....it's denmark-based.

i decided theres no reason for me to spend a million bucks on eyeshadow. cuz i never wear it for the entire day. maybe like ONCE a year. and most of the really expensive eyeshadows are supposed to look perfect all day or whatever but when i wear it its for like 2-3 hrs..max 6...and even then it's rare so i'm better off investing in a relatively less expensive but still decent brand

I agree. Until I got nikkah'd, I didn't wear much makeup and it was pretty rare (on a daily basis that is). The only thing I wore was eyeliner and after going from various brands, I stuck with my almay... and foundation since I broke out, but hopefully not for much longer!

For eyeshadows, I mean you're not inside with your husband 24/7 and you're not wearing makeup around him 24/7 and you don't need to look like a bride all the time with crazy amounts of make up. Actually, my husband like my more simple make up. All it was some bronzer and light eyeshadow and eyeliner and lip gloss.

The best eyeshadow's for everyday wear I found were to be almay and l'oreal. I haven't tried much else but they all look really nice. Covergirl is good too. I didn't like this brand new york and style or something like that, but they have nice lipglosses but the eyeshadow wasn't all that.

I don't know why I just wrote this. I want a ticker like sally.

who can't what?

Have you tried the maybelline one that has a separator built inside mascara brush?

When I was going to Toronto this weekend, this lady next to me was visiting her boyfriend and a bit before we landed she took out her makeup kit and started putting on makeup. I loooove makeup so I asked her what she was using and what works and what doesn't. For the first time in my life, I saw how lip plumpers work and wow, it looked really nice! She was also trying that maybelline mascara with the lash separator. It was neat, learned about a couple of things... namely about L'oreal's smokey eye shadow thingy which I might get because I love smokey eye

Cool, great. I usually don't like mascaras because they feel all heavy and clump my lashes but I'm gonna give that a whirl, thanks for the review

I agree with Fatima, Salika. This is best mascara ever, imo, and its pretty cheap. (Maybelline lash sytlist)

I HATE Lash Stylist, as well as L'oreal Telescopic, but I think it turns out funny on me due to my funny pointing downwards lashes. My sister has normal avaerage lashes and she likes it.

My mom has that same lash problem and nothing comes out right on her either. I try to use a heated eyelash curler on her and then apply the mascara which works. You should give it a try.
