Shouldn't high heels also have ankle support? I mean it would be easier to twist your ankle and what not without ankle support.

That just looks like a flimsy strap

p.s. I bet high heel wearers could balance on stilts from their experience balancing on high heels

p.p.s...

My hospital just banned crocs.

And ties for men are now optional (but must be covered by a white coat, sweater, or jacket)...

why did they ban crocs? The nurse at the hospital where my SIL gave birth all wore identical white crocs, it was kind of weird.

I bet they just banned clogs and slip ons and they'll allow shoes made by crocs.

Crocs are soft, so there's concern that they'll hold onto germs and transfer them. Also, because they're soft and most have vent holes, they really don't protect your feet from splashing liquids or dropped instruments in the OR.

I guess the nurses will have to quit being cheap (crocs are ~$35) and go back to wearing SAS, Dansko and Birkenstock ($100+). Those are probably better for the feet anyway

I need a pair of running shoes for when I start running. I did some looking and I found these at Payless. Thoughts?

I just bought a pair of these. However, instead of the red color, it's just black.

Once I get over my flu, I'll start exercising.

I wear sandals and flip flops when the weather is warm because my feet sweat a lot, and because I just plain hate to wear shoes. I'd go barefoot all of the time if I could.

I have to wear solid leather shoes with lug soles at work to protect my feet. I also wear workboots when driving the tractor, using a chainsaw, or doing other farm work.

Winter time I wear mules, boots, or sneakers.

I don't like to wear shoes to attract attention to my feet as my feet are kind of ugly. I don't wear heels because I like to be able to run like hell if the need arises.

Nice shoes, Wolfn. They look sturdy enough.

Today was the first time I wore those heels. I just realized today how high the heels really are. They are like 4+ inches. I felt so tall. Thankfully, it has great support and I felt very secure in them. Also, they are rather comfortable considering their height and strappy design. My friend wants to get the same pair, lol.
